The Magnificent Night Markets in Bangkok, Thailand! (Asiatique Riverfront)
Night Markets in Thailand are quite popular. Apparently one of the reasons why there are so many night markets in Thailand is that the days are very hot (well above 30°C for most of the year) and the nights on the other hand are cool. Hope you get the picture. 🙂
When I first heard about the Night markets, I pictured an extremely crowded and dirty place. Nevertheless, I was still going to give it a try after all, what’s the point in travelling if you are not going to Explore!!

We visited the Asiatique Riverfront night market in Bangkok and it was far from what I expected. It was clean, modern, vibrant, trendy and fun! It opened in 2012 and boasts of over 1,500 shops and 40 restaurants. It is also home to Thailand’s tallest ferris wheel and longest riverfront boardwalk.
The night markets are not just about the shopping but also a place for socializing. A popular spot for people to meet and hang out, particular young people.
We found lots of creative items in a Bangkok night market, from artwork, crafts, silk to fake designer items! Shows are performed nightly. It is open from 17:00 till midnight.
We had such an amazing time browsing. The ambience was great and I felt like I had taste of Asia.
Some other night markets are below:
