The Lekki Conservation centre is a nature reserve in Lagos, an initiative developed with the core purpose of conserving and protecting the habitat the southwestern coastal part of Nigeria .

I visited the stunning LCC as part of an Active Tourism Nigeria event, a fusion between Fitness and Tourism, one I thoroughly enjoyed! It kicked off with an hour of a high intensive workout and then a tour of Lekki Conservation centre with refreshing and healthy food and drinks.

Now, the Lekki Conservation centre, was so much more than I had expected. I was pleasantly surprised by the strong prospects for tourism that LCC brings to the table right here in Lagos! A 78 hectare reserve complete with a swamp, wildlife, a canopy walk for panoramic views, bird hide, floor games like chess and ludo, several ponds including the Koi pond and Tilapia pond, picnic areas to relax and more! For nature and adventure lovers, you can’t go wrong.

How to get there?
It is located on Km 19, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lekki. It is on the right just after the Chevron round about before the Second toll gate if you are coming from the City Centre (VIctoria Island), there is a signboard (see picture below). Parking is available.
