Review : The Magnifique Sofitel Dubai Palm Resort and Spa!

One of the most enjoyable sleeps I had during my long vacation a few weeks back was at the Sofitel Dubai Palm Resort and Spa. Nothing prepared me for the excellence at this particular hotel. To provide some context, Sofitel is one of my most loved hotel brands; they are a French luxury five star hotel chain, which consistently provide exceptional service and amenities around the world.

I have never been disappointed during one of my stays at their hotels around the world which includes Paris, Marseille, Belgium, Luxembourg, Dubai and Bangkok. I have stayed in these hotels more than once in some cases! They have all been excellent, the Magnifique breakfast at the Sofitel Brussels Le Louise hotel in Belgium was out of this world and the Sofitel Luxembourg was the same.

The Sofitel Dubai Palm Resort and Spa is a modern and luxurious hotel which encapsulated the finest of things, the moment we arrived we were greeted with a complimentary cold drinks and a cool face towel. Dubai is very hot during the day (up to 40 degrees celcius) so this was en excellent touch! The welcome desk staff were polite, warm, friendly and helpful.

The hotel has some wonderful amenities such an indoor and outdoor pool, Spa (So Spa) which offers 28 treatments rooms, a fitness centre and a tennis court as well Shuttle and concierge services. I was able to have a manicure and pedicure done at the Salon and Kel was able to cut his hair as well as other things in the male grooming outfit all in time for dinner at Porter House one of the several restaurants at the hotel which offers succulent steaks and grills.

It is important to add that there are great views of the Altantis and Burj Al Arab hotel from the private beach at the hotel. We also witnessed an intimate wedding on the grounds of the hotel adding to our touristy entertainment!

My experience at Sofitel Dubai The Palm Resort And Spa can be summarised as superb, outstanding and exceeding expectation. It is not surprising they have been nominated as finalists of 2014  World Luxury Hotel Awards!

Location wise, the hotel is expediently located in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, a short walk from The Atlantis (Aquapark) . The Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall are 20 minutes’ drive from the hotel and Dubai International Airport is a 35-minute drive away.
