Blood moon – Total Lunar Eclipse on September 28th!
Sunsets are lovely and so are blood moons but they are less frequent so make a date with the Total Lunar Eclipse aka Blood moon on September 28th, 2015. A Total Lunar Eclipse happens when the Sun, Earth and Moon form a straight line making the moon appear to have a deep red glow hence the name Blood Moon!
“The National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) on Wednesday said Abuja, Lagos and several other cities and towns across the country, would experience a lunar eclipse on September 28th. The lunar eclipse would begin on Monday 28, 1:11a.m, local time and will be at its maximum by 3:47 a.m. local time, with its final contact by 6:22a.m.” More on ThisDay
This would also be seen in London. You can check if you will see it wherever you are in the world here!
Have you ticked off watching the sun set or a total lunar eclipse in your city from your bucket list? This is your chance to do so! Take your pictures and hashtag #WeekenderHQ
